Arrival of New Engines in Alice Springs

10 new high-efficiency natural gas-fired generation units have arrived in Alice Springs. The 10 new 4.1MW GE Jenbacher engines have been shipped direct from Austria and replace the capacity of the ageing Ron Goodin Power Station.

New engineering scholarships

Territory Generation and Engineers Australia have combined to increase the number of Aboriginal and women engineers through two new $5000 diversity scholarships. Indigenous and female NT students who have enrolled to study engineering at Charles Darwin University may be eligible to apply.
