Territory Generation is pleased to welcome Michelle Shepherd as Chair of the Territory Generation Board.
Michelle is an experienced non‑executive director with more than 30 years’ experience across the energy sector, government and not‑for‑profit organisations. She brings extensive expertise in energy markets, major infrastructure and governance. Michelle is currently Chair of Synergy, Western Australia’s largest electricity generator and retailer, where she provides oversight of a multibillion‑dollar portfolio of renewable generation, storage and technology projects, as well as the decommissioning of legacy coal assets. She is also responsible for governance, strategy, safety and risk oversight in a complex and highly regulated operating environment.
Throughout her career, Michelle has worked closely with governments, regulators, industry and communities to deliver large‑scale energy projects and lead organisations through change, with a strong emphasis on safety, culture and long‑term value. Michelle’s experience and leadership will support Territory Generation as it continues to deliver reliable power for the Northern Territory and contribute to the Territory’s energy objectives, including the delivery of reliable, affordable and more sustainable energy for Territorians.
Following these changes, the Territory Generation Board will comprise Michelle Shepherd as Chair, with Dennis Bree and Christine Charles continuing as Non-Executive Directors.
